Phase Two plus Refresher

Recruits who attend the Pre-Employment Police Basic Course generally have two years to become sworn (hired) and attend the Phase Two Program.   Recruits who do not secure employment and attend the Phase Two Program are said to have an Expired Phase One, and must attend a combination of the Phase Two Program and the Refresher Program.

Recruits who do not secure employment and attend Phase 2 within 10 years must retake the entire Basic Course for Police Officers.

Generally, the Rockland County Police and Public Safety Academy conducts a Phase Two plus Refresher in conjunction with the biannual Basic Course for Police Officers.
